Seriously it’s almost 2019 already?!

Whenever I was younger, people used to say how fast time flies. The older I get, I realize that truer words haven’t been spoken, outside of the Bible. This year has been full of incredible highs and some stinky lows. I started off the year restarting my blog and writing online articles for the Grit and Grace Project and Little Red Bird Press. I have expanded my blog and writing to include a few different networking adventures and book reviewing. I am also now a volunteer with Proverbs 31 OBS. I have been blessed to meet many people in person who I have been online friends with. I have also met many new friends. That has definitely been the highlight of my year.

I have also had to let go of some things in 2018 that were a big part of my life. I have had friends come and go. I have also had to walk away from things due to the call of God on my life. I have also had multiple bitter issues during this year in my marriage.

I have seen so much growth in myself and in those around me. I am so grateful that God has given me a front seat to this! It has been a true blessing. I have been discovering exactly who I am and for what purpose I am here for. My words for 2018 were joy, brave and warrior. I definitely feel as though I have found true joy from becoming a brave warrior for God!

My word for 2019 is trust. Last night at church, the pastor revealed the church’s word for 2019 as “from bitter to sweet.” God has put Psalm 62:5-8 as my verses for this year. I look forward to what He has for me in 2019 with excitement and if I’m being honest, some trepidation. So as 2018 comes to a close, I am feeling blessed for the highs and lows and will welcome 2019, my 40th year of life with open arms and an open heart.
