Really, 41?! Bring It!!

Obviously you can tell by the title that today is my 41st birthday! How crazy is that?! I don't know who more for, me or my dad! I have to say that I am really excited about turning 41. I celebrate each year because it is such a gift! I was a sick child and some years it was questionable if I would see the next one. God is so faithful y'all! The last year has been such a growing and freeing year. I have learned so much about myself and about how important it is to be the person who God created me to be. I started the beginning of year 40 believing I was one thing and have discovered someone completely different!

The biggest turning point was going through (and finishing) the Unbound study. I had been dealing with chains of shame, guilt, anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness for over 25 years. No matter how much I read my Bible, went to counseling, talked to other people, they would not break off! I started 2020 ready to get rid of them once and for all. The exercise of breaking soul ties to everything and everyone who had hurt me or whom I had hurt was the most difficult, but it changed everything for me! I finally experienced the real and true freedom that Jesus came and died for! Less than a week later, God dropped the name of this ministry into my mind and here we are!

The reason I tell you all of this today is because I want each of you to know how amazing the freedom of God truly is and that it has gotten better each day! Is everything perfect, absolutely not. But it is the best journey to be on! My story is not everyone's story, but it is the story God has written for me to demonstrate His love, freedom, forgiveness, and promises. I want to encourage each of you to really focus on hearing God's voice in your own life. Give Him your life with open hands and see what He does. You can trust in Him! Ephesians 3:20-21 says, "Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask of think according to the power that works in us-to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, Amen" (CSB).
